This is a versatile replacement plastic block crafted for all AS3 Performance chain guides featuring an aluminium mounting bracket and plastic block. Made from tough, hard - wearing TPU plastic, it's a direct fit for all models in this series. Note that it's exclusively designed for AS3 Performance chain guides and won't work with OEM chain guides. Using this replacement block is easy. First, make sure your bike has an AS3 Performance chain guide with an aluminium mounting bracket and plastic block, as it won't fit OEM or our aluminium - style chain guides. You don't need to split the chain to install it. Just remove the old block and attach the new one. When you're putting in the bolts, apply some thread lock to keep them secure. The maximum width of the chain that can work with this block is 21mm. As for maintenance, check the block regularly for signs of wear. Since it's made of hard - wearing TPU plastic, it should last a long time, but it's always good to inspect it now and then. If you notice any significant damage, replace the block right away.
